Follow these guidelines when choosing a class! The two key factors in choosing a class that will work well for your student are: Level: Read through our level descriptions on our website. Pick the one the best matches your student’s current comfort level and experience but still has new skills your child needs to learn. When trying to decide between two levels, always pick the lower. It is better to have one lesson where your child excels than to have a too difficult class that overwhelms your child and makes him/her nervous to come back. Our teachers will always let you know right away if there is a more appropriate level for your student. Please also feel free to call us for our advice on which level to choose.
Age: We truly teach to all ages and abilities, which means we have Starfish classes with new two year-olds and Starfish classes with twelve year-olds. To make every child comfortable and for the best learning environment, it is extremely important to check the average age of students in the class.

Unfortunately, no. To uphold our open enrollment policy that lets your student start and move up to the next level at any time, you must choose the first available class. For example, if you are online on a Thursday and choosing a Friday class, it will start the next day. If you need to delay your enrollment, you must log in again when you are ready to enroll. However, please note availability changes daily, and we cannot guarantee that the same class will still be open.

Yes. An e-mail confirmation will be sent to you including all details of the class you chose. Make sure to check that it has the correct location, starting date, and level that you wanted. If you do not see the confirmation within an hour, first check your spam (your server might assume the automatic e-mail is junk mail), then make sure to add us to your contacts so you always receive our e-mails. If it still does not arrive, call our office for a verbal confirmation.

The portal will automatically log out after 2 hours of inactivity. When you log in again, it will bring your to the default location. Always check the details of the class you are looking at and the details on your e-mail confirmation to make sure you have the correct schedule.

The Parent Portal will only allow for adding new classes, not changing a current schedule. If your child is ready to move up to the next level or if you need to change your class time to better fit your family schedule, we suggest looking at the current options then calling our office to complete the change. We are always happy to change your schedule to make it easy for you to keep your swimmers swimming!
